Egyptian Amulet of Pataikos, Dwarf god of Protection. A blue-green faience amulet of Ptaichos, shown as a dwarf, measuring 28 mm high, the neck pierced for suspension. Repaired, most faience worn off, Egypt, Late Period, ca. 664-332 B.C. The Pataikos is a minor deity in ancient Egypt who was strongly related to the dwarf god Bes. He was a protective deity, associated mostly with pregnant women and small children.
