Anonymous (attributed to Nicephorus III). Ca. 1078-1081. Æ "Class I" anonymous follis (22.1 mm, 2.93 g, 12 h). Constantinople. IC-XC, Nimbate bust of Christ facing, raising right hand in benediction and holding book of Gospels / Latin cross with X at center, globule and two pellets at each extremity, flanked by two crescents in upper field and by two floral ornaments in lower field.
