Lambayeque Figure. A fine Lambayeque figure from Peru, c. 700 – 1300 AD. This example of the famous “Labret Ladies” is 5-1/2” high and depicts a female drummer playing her drum with a baton held in her left hand. She has a large shuspa slung over her shoulders and appears to be holding an object with her feet. Ex Benjamin Pritz estate. Value range $415 - $500..
