An Egyptian Early Dynastic Alabaster Wide-Mouthed Jar. An Egyptian Early Dynastic alabaster jar, 1st - 3rd Dynasty, c. 3050 – 2686 BC, of very solid construction, the mouth flared widely with slightly curved walls and a raised disk base. The interior is well hollowed and the vessel is translucent with attractive banding. 4 3/8” x 4 1/8”, (11.3 x 10.5 cm). Intact with minor nicks, light earthen and mineral deposits. Ex Orange County private collection. Value Range: $600-$700.
