Daunian Painted Kalathos. A handsome Daunian painted Kalathos, Italic, c. 5th - 4th Century BC, beautifully decorated with alternating horizontal bands in red and brown slip interspersed with white, a ridge around the exterior with vertical bands and a pair of holes near the rim for attachment of a ladle. H: 7â (17.9 cm); Dia: 8â (20.3 cm). A lovely example with light deposits. Ex Orange County private collection.
