Lot 28-222. Two Egyptian faience amulets and a frog scaraboid, Graeco-Roman Period.

Two Egyptian Faience Amuleta. Two Egyptian faience amulets and a frog scaraboid, Graeco-Roman Period. Lot includes a light blue faience amulet of male genitalia, Roman Period, c. 1st - 2nd Century AD, with suspension loop at top, (L:18mm); a faience amulet in the form of a bunch of grapes, Roman Period, c. 1st - 2nd Century AD, suspension loop at top, (2 cm); and the last is a faience scaraboid in the form of a frog, Ptolemaic Period, c. 3rd - 1st Century BC, with traces of green glaze and stylized characters on the flat base, probably a product of the Greek city of Naucratis, (2 x 1.4 cm). A nice group! Ex early 20th Century British collection.
