Beautiful ear ornament from Guatemala. A beautifully executed ear ornament from Guatemala, c. 400 – 800 AD. It is 1-5/8” in diameter and is carved from a sea shell, most likely a whelk or conch. It has been nicely polished and has six additional holes drilled along the edge for attachment of adornos. Intact, mounted on stand. Ex Walley collection. Value range $210 - $300.
