Vandals. Pseudo-Imperial coinage. Ca. early 6th century A.D. Æ nummus (8.7 mm, 0.78 g, 12 h). Carthage (?) mint. Degraded legend of dots and dashes, laureate and draped bust right / Star within laurel wreath. BMC Vandals 165-172; MEC 33. VF.

BMC says that this type, with degraded obverse legend, may actually be a barbarous type struck by the Mauri tribe of northern Africa.
