IMP C LIC VALERIANVS PI FE AVG, laureate and cuirassed bust right, aegis on cuirass / MALLO COLONIA, SC, Amphilochus standing left, holding branch over boar, tripod with coiled serpent to right. SNG Levante 1298; SNG BN 1933; SNG vA -. Fine, porous. Ex Malloy collection. The city of Mallus was founded by two brothers, Amphilochus and Mopsus, sons of Apollo, after they left Troy following the Trojan War.
