Philip I. A.D. 244-249. AR antoninianus (22.7 mm, 3.35 g, 7 h). Rome mint, Struck A.D. 247-249. IMP PHILIPPVS AVG, radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / AETERNITAS AVGG, elephant walking left, carrying rider who holds goad and wand. RIC 58; RSC 17. Fine.

This series was struck to commemorate the 1000th anniversary of the founding of Rome.
