Maya Monkey Olla from Guatemala, ca. 500 - 800 AD. A large bi-chrome olla from the Tiquisate region of Guatemala, ca. 500 - 800 AD. This fine vessel is 8" high, 7" in diameter and is decorated with a monkey. His expressive head, arms and tail are applique to the chamber, which is further decorated with cream pigment. Strong mineral deposits. Ex International Unlimited Gallery. Value Range $400 - $600.
