Shipibo Vessel from Amazon, ca. 1960's. An unusual Shipibo vessel from the upper Amazon region of Brazil or Peru, ca. 1960’s. This double-spouted vessel is 6” wide and is decorated with a face that clearly shows the influence of Andean ancestors. The vessel is coated with the natural tree resin lacquer used to waterproof it. A choice example collected in the 1960’s. Ex Boston Estate. Value range: $200 - $300.
