M COMMOCVS ANT P FELIX AVG BRIT, laureate head right / P M TR P XII IMP VIII COS V P P, SC, MON AVG, the three Monetae standing left, each holding scales and cornucopia. RIC 500; BMCRE 599. Fine, scarce. Attractive green patina, struck on a small flan. 

This is the first appearance, on coinage, of this popular reverse type. The three Monetae represent the three metals used in coin manufacture; gold, silver, and bronze.
