Mesopotamia Stone Eye Idol, circa 3000 BC. Mesopotamia Stone Eye Idol, circa 3000 BC, A real find of an eye idol in garnet with one eye damaged. These were probably used as offerings to the Gods. We checked this piece under magnification and found no machine marks. The piece has on break and it otherwise OK, measures 48 x 105, and is a very early artifact. This piece is part of the estate of David Liebert of The Time Machine Company, a knowledgeable and respected member of the Antiquities Dealer community. He was also the author of many articles on artifacts including the many articles in The Celator magazine.
