EN TOVTW NIKATЄ MIXAHΛ S MARIA (or similar), cross crosslet on globus resting on three steps, x at center of cross, pellet within crescent on shaft; facing bust of Michael, bearded, wearing crown and jewelled chlamys to left, facing bust of Maria, wearing crown and loros to right, triple border / MIXAHΛ KAI MARIA ΠICTOI PACIΛEIC PWMAIWN, in five lines, triple border. cf. SBV 1874; cf. DOC 6. VF, green patina.

Possible Test Strike?.

This coin type is only known in AR, as a miliaresion. This is possibly an Æ test strike. It could also be a fourree core or an imitative in excellent style.
