IMP C M AVR CARVS P F AVG, radiate, draped and cuirassed bust right / VIRTVS AVGG, Carus standing right, receiving Victory from Jupiter, standing left; star over A in field, XXI in exergue. RIC 125. Fine. Scarce.

The reverse legend AVGGG was used only at the end of Carus' reign, after he had appointed his two sons, Numerian and Carinus, as Augusti.
