Egyptian Wooden Lotus Flower. An Egyptian wood element in the form of a lotus flower, Late Period, c. 664 - 30 BC, part of the decoration from the façade of a piece of funerary furniture, the base retaining the original dowels. The piece is fashioned from an entire piece of wood, the front, sides and top painted in blue, purple and black. 3 ¾” x 5 1/8” (9.5 x 13 cm). Without repair or restoration and retaining nearly all of the original paint. Ex Nomis Antiquities.Ex Orange County private collection. Value Range $350 $450.
