Philip I. A.D. 244-249. AR antoninianus (22.8 mm, 4.48 g, 6 h). Rome mint, Struck A.D. 249. IMP PHILIPPVS AVG, radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / SAECVLVM NOVVM, Roma seated facing, scepter in left hand, in hexastyle temple. RIC 25b; RSC 198. VF, some adhesions. 

This series was struck to commemorate the 1000th anniversary of the founding of Rome.
