Phoenicia, Ake-Ptolemaïs. Severus Alexander. A.D. 222-235. AE 29 (28.7 mm, 19.59 g, 6 h). IMP CAES M AVR [SEV ALEXANDER AVG], laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right / COL PTOL, draped Bust of Serapis, wearing kalathos, right; torch before. cf. Kadman 131 (Caracalla); cf. Rosenberger 55 (same); cf. Rouvier 1018 (same). aVF, black patina with red highlights. Possibly unique.

From the Kenneth Miller Collection of Ake-Ptolemaïs and Related Biblical Coins.

The reverse type of Serapis and a torch was used earlier under Caracalla but is not recorded for Severus Alexander.
