Huari Serpent Olla from Peru, ca. 650 - 800 AD. A large Huari polychrome vessel from Peru, ca. 650 - 800 AD. This rare example is 8ï¾ high and features two pairs of serpents slithering up the sides. They are nicely detailed, with emphasis on their faces. The vessel itself is lightly scalloped and is decorated with boldly painted linear design panels, as well as a band of geometric designs. In excellent condition, with strong mineral deposits. Value range: $750 - $1000.
