A beautiful Hellenistic Italo-Megarian bowl. A beautiful Italo-Megarian bowl, c. 2nd Century BC, red-slipped, hemispherical in form, the base centered by a disk enclosing a rosette, from which radiates a composite floral of four nymphaea petals and four acanthus petals, with rosettes in between, a band of rosettes above. Intact. D: 4 in (11.4 cm); H: 3 in (7.6 cm). A lovely piece! Ex Orange County private collection. Est. Value $700 - $800.
