Moche Copper Spear from Peru, ca. 200 - 700 AD. A rare Moche spear tip from Peru, ca. 200 - 700 AD. It is 9-1/2" long and is made from copper. The front 2/3 of the tip is solid, with the wide hollow end flared to accommodate the wood shaft. Ex Lark Mason. Cf. Larco Hoyle "Los Mochicas I" page 214 for similar from the Herrera Museum. Value range: $175- $250.
