A Cypriot Black Slip Ware jug, c. 2300 - 1650 BC, with pouring spout, the ovoid body and narrow neck decorated with incised lines and hatches, a narrow protuberance on the shoulder opposite the handle which possesses a tall thumb rest. H: 7” (17.8 cm). Repair to back of body, heavy mineral deposits. Ex Midwest private collection with Cypriot export documents dated 1963. Est. Value $500 - $600.
