Aztec Figural Vessel from Mexico, ca. 1400 - 1500 AD. A choice Aztec-Mixtec tripod vessel from Mexico, ca. 1400 - 1500 AD. It is 6-1/4” high and depicts an individual adorned with large ear ornaments and a fancy headdress. The legs are executed as serpents, each containing rattles and the chamber is covered with painted designs. Vivid paint, heavy mineral deposits, blue stucco remnants. Ex Schultz collection. Value range: $500 - $750.
