A pair of Medieval silver earrings & Carnelian Necklace. First, a pair of Medieval silver earrings, Levantine, c. 12th - 14th Century AD, the top in the form of a deer or goat, decorated with raised pellets. Very attractive with a dark patination. Each about 2.3 x 2.7 cm. Intact. Second a necklace composed of ancient carnelian and faience beads. The carnelian beads, Holy Land, c. 1st Millennium BC, are ovoid with good color, the Egyptian faience beads, Late Period, c. 6664 - 30 BC, both tubular and disk are in pale green and black. Necklace length 19 in (48.1 cm) and re-strung on modern cord and clasp. Ex Los Angeles private collection. Est. Value $300 - $400.
