Justin II. 565-578. AE half follis (24.1 mm, 5.70 g, 7 h). Thessalonica mint, struck 574/575. D N IVSTINVS PP AV, Justin II and Sophia seated on throne facing, both nimbate; he holds a globus cruciger while she holds a cruciform scepter / Large K, ANNO to left, C+ above, X to right, TЄS in exergue. SBV 366; DOC 79. gVF, black patina with red highlights, overstruck. 

The C+ above the K on the reverse is only known for year 10 in Thessalonica. The coin has been over stuck on a previous half follis, with what appears to be the shoulder cuirass showing on the reverse.
