Attica, Athens. Ca. 406/5 B.C. Fourrée tetradrachm (25 mm, 16.56 g, 9 h). Emergency coinage. Helmeted head of Athena right / AΘE, owl standing right with head facing, olive sprig and crescent behind; all within incuse square. Kroll, Piraeus 1-2; Flament pp. 118-20; Kroll pp. 7-8. Good VF, toned, core exposed in just a few spots.

Extremely nice for this rare issue. The coin comes with a COA from David Sear.
