Moche Crab Bottle from Peru, ca. 450 – 550 AD. A gorgeous Moche IV Crab bottle from Peru, ca. 450 – 550 AD. This fine orangeware vessel is 6-1/2" high, 5-1/2" in diameter and is decorated with a pair of finely detailed crabs. They are molded in high relief and accented with cream pigment. Superb example of the type. Ex Gallatin estate. Value range: $650 - $1000.
