Moche Spear from Peru, ca. 200 - 700 AD. A choice Moche spear tip from Peru, ca. 200 - 700 AD. It is 11 and is made from copper. The front 2/3 of the tip is solid, with the wide end hollow to accommodate the wood shaft. In excellent condition, with good mineral deposits. Ex Austin estate. Cf. Larco Hoyle Los Mochicas I, page 214 for similar from the Herrera Museum. Value range: $200 - $400.
