Inca Canopa from Peru, ca. 1300 - 1500 AD. A choice Inca canopa from Peru, ca. 1300 - 1500 AD. This beautiful example is 2-7/8" long, is carved from a nicely polished tan stone and depicts a llama. The head is beautifully detailed and the cavity still contains some of the offering. In excellent condition, with strong mineral deposits creating a lovely visual texture. Ex Historia Gallery.
