Mixtec Bowl from Mexico, ca. 1000 - 1500 AD. A fine Mixtec tripod bowl from Mexico, ca, 1000 - 1500 AD. This nicely made example with widely flared rim is 6-1/4” in diameter and is decorated with black resist designs over the red slip, as well as additional linear décor over the buff areas. Highly burnished, good mineral deposits and root marks. Ex Cohen estate. Value Range:$200 - $300.
