An Egyptian Amulet of the God Ptah.. A nice Egyptian amulet of the god Ptah, Late Period, c. 664 – 30 BC, standing on integral base, mummiform and wearing a close-fitting cap and false beard, hands clutch a sceptre against his chest, vertical plinth down back, horizontal suspension hole through plinth at shoulders. H: 3.5cm. Intact, glaze now a brownish color. Amulets of Ptah are rather rare. Ex Orange County private collection. Est. Value $200 - $300.
