A Lot of 3 Ancient Ceramic Oil Lamps. Lot includes an Egyptian frog lamp, c. 3rd - 4th Century AD, of lentoid shape with three nipples on back bordered by vertical lines 3 ¼ x 2 ¾ (8.3 x 7.1 cm); the second is a Roman type from the Holy Land, c. 4th - 5th Century AD, with long rounded nozzle and vertical ridges around the fill-hole, L: 3 ½ (8.9 cm); and the last another Roman type, Holy Land, c. 4th - 5th Century AD, in grey-ware, the flat shoulder with pellets within a raised border, L: 2 ¾ (7.1 cm). All with carbon deposits indicating use in antiquity. Ex Orange County private collection. Est. Value $300 - $400.
