Antoninus Pius. A.D. 138-161. AE sestertius (33.8 mm, 24.41 g, 11 h). Rome mint, struck A.D. 140. ANTONINVS AVG PIVS PP TR P COS III, laureate head of Antoninus Pius left / AURELIVS CAESAR AVG P II F COS, SC, bare headed, bust of Marcus Aurelius right, draped left shoulder. cf. RIC 1212; cf. BMCRE 1209. aVF, some smoothing. Very Rare.

A left facing obverse is not recorded in either RIC or BMC. The" bare headed, draped shoulder" type on the reverse is known for an As (RIC 1227, BMCRE 1224) but not in the larger denomination.
