This beautiful ceremonial dipper is 10-1/2" long and is decorated with the superbly detailed head of a monkey deity. The lentoid chamber is 6-3/4 in diameter and is decorated with a star design surrounding the opening, perhaps representing Venus, an important Andean fertility symbol. An exceptional example with strong paint and mineral deposits. Ex Llerena collection. Value range $750 - $1000.
