Taino Head of the Monkey God. A superb Taino head fragment from Hispaniola, c. 1000 – 1500 AD. It is 3-1/2” wide and depicts a zoomorphic deity, most likely the Monkey God. Superbly detailed, good mineral deposits, mounted on stand. Ex Alex Acevedo, 1970’s. Value range: $100 - $150.
