Macedonian Kingdom. Alexander III the Great. 336-323 B.C. AE 19 "unit" (18.84 mm, 4.63 g, 2 h). Macedonian mint. head of Alexander as young Herakles right, wearing lion-skin headdress, paws tied at neck / [Α]ΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟ[Υ], name vertically downwards between club with handle up on left and bow in bow-case, opening to top on right - no visible controls. Cf. Price 266 ff.. VF, light green patina, texture somewhat uneven.
