Eastern Europe. Imitation of Philip II of Macedon. 2nd century B.C. AR hemidrachm (13.37 mm, 2.01 g, 1 h). Dachreiter type. Celticized head of Zeus right / Celticized horseman riding left. Cf. Lanz 459. Good VF, lightly toned, well struck and centered. 

This type features a set of "prongs" on the horse's legs, perhaps inspired by the shaggy hair on the legs of war horses. In time, those enormous and strong war horses became "Belgian Draft Horses" and similar.
