Macedonian Kingdom, Mylasa. in the name of Alexander III the Great. 336-323 B.C. AR drachm (17.30 mm, 4.33 g, 12 h). Mylasa mint, Struck 300-280 B.C. Head of Alexander as young Hercules right wearing lion-skin headdress, paws tied at throat / ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡ[ΟΥ], Zeus Aetophoros enthroned right on backless throne, holding eagle and resting on scepter, right leg drawn back; monogram within large omega - ΩAMΠΔ in monogram - to left, nothing beneath seat. Price 2488a; Müller 1269. VF, Lightly toned, somewhat "crowded" on smallish flan.
