Macedonian Kingdom, western Asia minor (?). in the name of Alexander III the Great. 336-323 B.C. AR drachm (17.75 mm, 4.26 g, 6 h). Uncertain western Asia minor mint, Struck 323-280. Head of Alexander as young Hercules right, wearing lion-skin headdress, paws tied at throat / ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ, Zeus Aetophoros seated left on backless throne holding eagle and scepter, right leg drawn back; lion's head facing in left field, NI beneath throne. Price 2702; Müller 0347. Good VF, light greenish-gray toning, small lamination spot on reverse.
