Tauric Chersonesos, Cherronesos. Civic issue. Ca. 386-338 B.C. AR hemidrachm (12.6 mm, 2.22 g). Forepart of lion right, head turned back / Quadripartite incuse square with alternating raised and sunken quarters; cursive monogram in one sunken quarter, bee (?) in the other. Cf. SNG Dreer 113; Cf. Winterthur 1199; Cf. BMC 29. VF, small test cut on reverse; lightly toned.
