Seleukid Kingdom. Demetrios II Nikator. Second reign, 129-125 B.C. AR tetradrachm (28.1 mm, 12.87 g, 1 h). Tyre mint, Struck 130/29 B.C. Diademed, beardless head of Demetrius II right / [ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩ]Σ [Δ]ΗΜΗΤΡΙΟΥ, eagle standing left on galley prow, wings closed, palm over shoulder; in left field, ΔPE monogram above club surmounted by TYP monogram; in right field, IEP / AΣ above ΓΠP ( = yr. 183 = 130/29 B.C. ); between eagle's legs, ZB. SC 2195, 4a; HGC 9, 1122; SNG Spaer 2216, 17. Rough VF, somewhat off-center on somewhat irregular flan losing half of legend and crowding portrait.
