A fine Maya figure from the Copan area of Honduras, ca. 250 – 400 AD.  This seated female is 3-1/2” high and depicts a pregnant dwarf holding her swollen belly.  She is wearing a headdress with ornament and retains pigment remnants under the encrustation.  Ex Toledo estate.  Value range $300 - $450.
