Thrace, Apollonia Pontika. Civic issue. 4th century B.C. AR drachm (15.5 mm, 3.18 g, 7 h). Gorgoneion facing with protruding tongue and sigmoid serpents for hair / Anchor, crayfish under left fluke; A under right fluke. SNG BM Black Sea 157; SNG Copenhagen 452. VF, irregular (as usual), "oval" flan crowds devices but nothing is lost; obverse centered and sharply struck, reverse somewhat less sharp and off-center; light gray patina.
