Lambayeque Deity Vessel. An excellent Lambayeque (Sican) double-spout vessel from Peru, ca. 700 - 1300 AD. It is 6-3/4" high and features a deity head flanked by a pair of birds on the nicely decorated bridge. The serpent heads characteristic of the type are projecting from the base of the spout. In excellent condition, with good mineral deposits and trails. Ex Gallatin estate. Value range $350 - $600.
