Syria, Seleucis and Pieria. Antiochia ad Orontem. Nero. A.D. 54-68. AE semis (24.6 mm, 11.34 g, 1 h). Struck A.D. 66/7. Gaius Cestius Gallus, legate. IM NERO CLAV CAESAR, laureate head of Nero right; in front, lituus; c/m: Athena standing right holding spear and shield within oval incuse / ЄΠΙ ΓΑΙΟΥ ΚЄ ΤΙΟΥ ЄΤ ЄΙΡ, legend in four lines within laurel wreath. RPC I 4304; McAlee 293; For c/m: Howgego 245. Near VF, earthen green patina. Very rare.
