Hungary. Bela III. 1172-1196 . AE scyphate rezpenz (27.6 mm, 2.98 g, 10 h). BELΛ REX STS, Bela III and Stephen III seated facing, each in half of field divided into two segments;. Each ruler wears crown and holds scepter topped with globus cruciger; at top, cross; at bottom, inverted crescent framing three short vertical lines; dotted border at outer end of flan / SΛNCTΛ MARIΛ, Virgin Mary nimbate, seated facing; cross to either side of head; she holds scepter and Christ-child; all within dotted border. CNH I 98-100; Huszar 72; Unger 114. Good VF, large, perfectly round flan; well-struck and perfectly centered; olive patina with a few smallish areas of ochre in recesses, mainly on obverse.
