III VIR // VIRTVS, titlature above and below helmeted bust of Virtus right / MN · AQVIL / MN · F · MN · N (MN in monogram) // SICIL , Manlius Aquilius in military garb standing facing, head right, holding shield and raising kneeling personification of Sicily slumping to left // SICIL. RRC 401/1; CRR 798; RSC/Bab Aquilia 2. Good Fine, well struck and centered on round adequate-size flan; legends slightly crowded; several banker-punches (or graffiti?) on Ceres' helmet and jaw, and lower field beneath chin; gray toning, shading to greenish on obverse.
