ACINIOC ΓAΛΛOC AΓNOC, bare head of Asinius Gallus right / AΠOΛΛOC ΦAINIOY TAMNITAN, head of Dionysus right, wearing ivy wreath. RPC I 2447; BMC 24-6; SNG Copenhagen 276. Fine, earthen green patina.

Asinius Gallus (the nemesis of Tiberius -- for he desired to be emperor; he even married Tiberius' first wife and was accused by Sejanus of having an affair with Agrippina Sr. so he could eliminate him).
