Diocletian. A.D. 284-305. BI antoninianus (23.9 mm, 3.81 g, 7 h). Siscia mint, struck A.D. 288-293. IMP C C VAL DIOCLETIANVS P F AVG, radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Diocletian right, seen from behind / CONSERVATOR AVGG, Diocletian in military garb standing right opposite Jupiter standing left; both holding scepters and pouring ritual libations from the patera each holds over low altar with X decoration // XXI Γ·BI . RIC V, ii 263. Near EF, 90+ % silvered; sharply-struck and well-centered on somewhat oblate, generous-sized flan; gray patina in the few spots where silvering is absent.
